I can tell you that in 99% of all cases your email is not down at all but rather your internet or network connection went down or was interrupted.

This begs the question: How Do I Know if My Email is Down or Not?

(1) Can you get online and visit websites?

YES = Go to #2
NO = Your Connection to the Internet is Down

(2) Can you access your Mail Server Online by going to mail.yourdomainname.com?

YES = Go to #3

(3) Can you SEND Emails from the SmarterMail interface?

YES = Go to #4
NO = Then the Mail Server is really Down Call VisionLine Media at 856-854-4211

(4) Can you RECEIVE Emails from the SmarterMail interface?

YES = SKIP to #6
NO = Your mailbox may be full Check to see if it is

(5) Mailbox is not full but you can’t receive emails

(6) If you answered yes to the previous questions then your Email is fine but your local network has problems. Call your network administrator or your IT department
