This is a pretty common question. The answer is quite simple: Every Screen is different.  Here at VisionLine Media we design websites so they can be seen properly by the greatest number of people.  98.9% of people today have a screen resolution of 1024×768 or higher. We design all of our Websites to accommodate people with this resolution or better. This is the internatiionally recognized standard for Website design.

Here is how this Website would look at 1024×768

DPI = DOTS PER INCH

On the Web everything you see is 72 DPI. Why you ask? Because the files have to be small enough for you to download them and so your monitor and graphics card can actually display them without crashing your computer.

In Printing everything must be 300 DPI. Why you ask? Because you don’t want your brochures to appear blurry and pixilated. (Pixilation is when you can actually see the dots that make up an image)

NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT!!

You see there is this thing in the United States of America called copyright law. Taking photos or anything else from someone elses website is STEALING! It would be the same as going to their place of business and shoplifting. DO NOT DO IT!

You can buy descent licensed stock images from places like istockphoto.com for $10.00/up. We can buy them for you if you need and it will appear on your final invoice.
